REWAVibes is a free community engagement kaupapa created off the back of the first Covid lockdowns in 2020.  

Its initial intentions back then were to encourage families / wh?nau to get back out of their homes, engage in a positive and healthy way in our community and make new connections.  REWAVibes is Inclusive of all cultures, ages and abilities. 

Today REWAVibes is a collective of organisations, roopu and businesses in and around Manurewa wanting to give back to our community.  

We have Facility Accessibility Funds which supports the community by allowing the REWAVibes Collab Collective to have free access to the Te Matariki Rec on Saturdays from 9.00 – 1.00

It’s also about getting Aucklanders Active. 

The Manurewa Local Board Activation Fund is available to community groups across South Auckland.  These groups are delivering scheduled programmes that are getting Aucklanders moving (physically active) the activations are delivered by community to community.  This funding is allocated by Auckland Councils Willie Iosia,  Activation Advisor.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED 

1. If you are a community group or organisation that wants to share your service with the community we can offer you space free of charge to do that at REWAVibes. (These services can range from Social Services and Well-being to offering free Barbering and Kai) You can get involved if;
   1. your service is delivered free of charge, in will be in collaboration with other organisations, and is beneficial to the community of Manurewa.
   2. We provide a space within the Rec Centre or Library free of charge through Facility Accessibility Funding.  Saturdays 9-1

2. If you are a community group or organisation wanting to deliver an Activation that is established, and encourages Aucklanders to GET Active (physically active) you may be allegeable for Funding support through the Activation Fund.
